THE SCIENCE CAMP HAT
THE SCIENCE CAMP HAT is a simple all-over ribbing hat that can count as a basic staple in your wardrobe.
It uses the mock brioche rib stitch (which has plain knits and purls only) that gives a fuller and squishier garment than the regular rib stitch. The ribbing is very elastic and makes it a comfortable fit for a variety of head sizes.
I started making this hat at the time when my 5th grader was all set to go to her first science camp. First stay away from home is such a big deal for our little ones.
While I was struggling with my own mixed emotions of seeing my little one take a big step, it was soothing to knit this steadily flowing hat. I hope you enjoy the pattern as much as I did and make one for your loved one who is about to take a big step. ๐
This design was done in collaboration with Knitcircus yarns. I had the pleasure of working with their beautiful gradient yarn.
