Inchara is a half-circle wrap constructed from the top-down. It has gently increasing garter sections regularly interrupted by subtly textured rows. The shawl is finished with a slip-stitch border.

This shawl is beginner-friendly with loads of garter, knit-purl texture and slipped stitches. An experienced knitter, can pick it up for ‘meditative knitting’ or ‘TV knitting’ or ‘Knitflixing’. 🙂

At this gauge, with all the garter, Inchara gives a squishy wrap. It is a handy accessory to have with you in transitional weather when the evenings get suddenly chilly or for working in air-conditioned office rooms.

Soothing to knit and pleasant to wear, it is named ‘Inchara’ which is a Kannada word that means ‘harmony’.
