SOAR SCARF
Soar Scarf is part of the second edition of The Sun and Fog – a collection of knit and crochet patterns by Bay Area designers and dyers. I am thrilled to be part of this edition, working alongside some very talented people from the Bay Area fiber community.
The soar and flight of a seagull over the expanse of the sea is a majestic and powerful sight, which seems to remind us that we should shed our limitations and be free. Drawing inspiration from this, I have tried to capture the form of a soaring seagull in this shawl.
SOAR Scarf is a shallow V-shaped scarf that can be wrapped around the neck generously, in a bandana/ kerchief style. It is embellished with picot and twisted stitch details.
The gentle shaping and beautiful details make for a stylish and practical accessory in your wardrobe. You can choose to knit your Soar Scarf in fingering, sport or DK weight yarns.
My sea-green colored sample is knit in fingering weight and the brown one in sport weight.
