Meera is a sweet and delicate shawlette suitable for using up a special skein of fingering weight yarn – to make a lovely gift for someone else or even for yourself.
Meera uses a top-down classic triangle construction with eyelet lace all over the body and some twisted ribbing for the border and a pronounced picot edging for finishing touches.
The wavy lace and the border reminds me of standing in beach waters with the waves rushing and foaming at our feet. The word Meera means “sea” or “ocean” in Sanskrit language and seemed suitable for the design. 🙂
The pattern has both written and charted instructions.
|SIZING:||One size (adaptable) Meera is designed to use about one skien of fingering weight yarn but is a very adaptable pattern. Instructions to make a larger shawl are included in the pattern.|
